The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies on the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it is actually alarmed with regards to the higher amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The website goal on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a large amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office dedicated to service the area every day. The support position designed for intervention activities a substantial influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it tough for the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra methods to permit the servicing of all consumers and improve access to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
